FAQ

Q: How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?

Therapy and counseling are very effective methods for working with issues from your past that are affecting your present. Therapists and counselors typically work with a dysfunctional person to get them to become functional. A coach works with a functional person to get them to become exceptional. Coaching works in the present and in the future. If you have an idea of where you want to go and just need a little help getting there, then coaching is for you!

Q: What are your credentials?

The Coaches at Cachet are graduates of the International Coaching Academy (www.icoachacademy.com). In addition, Cachet Coaches operate within the standards of the International Coaching Federation (www.coachfederation.org). The Coaches at Cachet also hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree’s in Communication, and some have earned their Master’s Degree. In addition to these credentials, the Coaches at Cachet have 30 years of combined experience in management, sales, direct response marketing, and higher education.

Q: How long will I need to be coached?

The length of the coaching relationship varies, but it can be generally said that most lasting change takes time. Our typical arrangement is a minimum of 12 weeks of coaching, one session per week.

Q: Who are your clients?

We serve a wide array of individual and corporate clients. Some of our current clients include: sales and marketing professionals, financial advisors, parents, managers, business owners, spiritual healers, and even other coaches!

Q: Do you have any areas of specialty?

Cachet Coaches have extensive expertise in business, management, team building, marketing, sales, motivation, relationship dynamics, and spirituality. With each client we gain insight into more and more areas, so our specialty areas continue to expand with our practice.

Q: I’d like to share some of your information on my blog, pod cast, radio show, etc. How do I go about doing that?

We are always open to sharing information and providing helpful information to additional audiences! Please contact us directly with your request and we’ll be happy to participate. We can provide articles, blogs, interviews, Q&A, and much more!

Q: Are you available for speaking engagements?

Yes! We enjoy meeting new people and sharing the approach of living an authentic and balanced life. If you’re interested in a speaking engagement, simply contact us with the details of your event and we’ll be happy to provide you with information and answer your questions.

Q: Do you coach teams or people in a business setting?

Yes, we coach individuals and corporate professionals. In a corporate setting the organization typically initiates the coaching relationship and sets expectations of goals and findings. We agree to the goals up front, so that clear expectations are set for both the employer and the employee. In our individual sessions, the client selects their package and determines their focus areas.

Q: What’s the difference between coaching & consulting?

Coaching & consulting both have an approach of looking to the future. In coaching, answers to the big questions are usually unearthed within the client. It’s a more holistic approach as a coach examines the situation with the client, co-creates a plan of action, and works side-by-side with the client to resolve the issue and help them move forward. In consulting the answers come from a collaboration of the consultant’s expertise and the client’s abilities. A consultant is usually focused on providing solutions to a problem within their specialty area. Once the issue is solved, the consultant moves on. Coaching is an ongoing process. Given the nature of coaching and consulting , they both actually work very well in tandem.

Q: In what areas of my life might coaching be helpful?

Life and business coaching is very versatile and can cover a lot of topics. Our most commonly addressed situations include achieving goals, finding balance in life (time and energy), relationship enhancement, personal growth and more. Other topics can also include work performance and making and adapting to significant life changes. The true answer lies within yourself. Where are you currently in all aspects of your life—personal and professional, and where you want to be? Coaches help you close the gap between those two polarities.

Q: How well does coaching work for most people?

To date all of our clients have reported a positive experience with coaching. Although degrees of success vary and all situations are different, Cachet Clients have positive outcomes from their sessions. At the very least, talking things through and having someone truly listen to you tends to bring great relief for most people.
